During the week of 9/11/2001, I along with the rest of the world was overwhelmed with grief. As I watched the Twin Towers collapse, I thought about the innocent victims and lives lost during this tragedy against humanity. In addition, I felt great sorrow for the families whose lives are forever torn apart by this act.
As I sat, sometimes teary eyed, it constantly crossed my mind - What can I do to express my feelings? A vision came to me, that while the world was in such deep sorrow, AMERICA WAS WEEPING. I put my pencil to the paper and created the portrait - "A NATION WEEPS".

The TEARS depict the sadness that poured out of so many eyes that day and throughout the years
